Sauvignon Blanc 2015 (dry)
Sauvignon blanc is a green-skinned grape variety that originates from the Bordeaux region of France. It is most likely that the grape gets its name from the French words sauvage (“wild”) and blanc (“white”) due to its early origins as an indigenous grape in South West France.
But nonetheless, in our sunny wine hills in Prlekija we can produce superb sauvignon. Our Sauvignon blanc 2015 is special, we did our best and aged the young wine on the lees. This old technique did not only increase the stability of the wine but has also added a richer flavour. Even less experienced consumers will not miss the aroma of elderberry and young green grass. The wine fits perfectly, when slightly chilled, with fish or cheese. It is also known as one of the few wines that can pair well with sushi.
Storage: We recommend to store the wine at a temperature between 10 – 15°C in a dark place. The perfect serving temperature should be lower, between 6 – 8°C.
